Johnna Arnold received her B.F.A. in photography from Bard College in 1996. After college she worked on an educational farm, traveled with a political puppet theater (Bread and Puppet), and eventually settled down in Oakland, CA. She received a Murphy-Cadogan fellowship award 2004, and completed her Masters in Fine Arts at Mills College in 2005. She has shown in multiple solo and group shows and is represented by Traywick Contemporary in Berkeley, CA. Johnna has taught many aspects of photography- from the pinhole camera to Photoshop, at Mills College, Sprout Creek Farm, and presently at Rayko Photography in San Francisco. Her artwork has been shown multiple places including Headlands Center for the Arts, Mills College, UNESCO Paris, and is part of a digital archive project that is currently touring through Europe.
